WordPress can be installed in five steps according to WordPress.org. They refer to this installation procedure as their famous five-minute installation guide. My installation guide is better.
You can only install WordPress by hand in five minutes if you know what you are doing or have done it before. If you are completely new to this sort of thing, you can expect your first installation by hand to take at least twenty minutes, most likely it will be a couple hours before you get WordPress installed and can start blogging.
It takes time because you have to read and follow directions carefully. If you are interested in reading through the official WordPress installation guide, you can find it here. But…
I recommend you use one of my guides, I have made them detailed with screenshots and step by step easy to follow instructions. You can visit my guide instead. I recommend you use it if you prefer user friendly instructions, with screenshots and videos. You can find it on this link: How to Start Blogging and Install WordPress and scroll towards the bottom where you’ll find the WordPress installation guides.
Some hosts make it harder than others. It was way easier to install WordPress on SiteGround than NameSecure, iPower, or the other one I use for work.
Definitely. I think that Siteground is one of the easiest to use to install. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy host to use to install WordPress with. Check them out here: Siteground
