This is going to be a quick post but very useful for all bloggers. Many people, even experienced bloggers don’t know about this little feature in the Jetpack collection of plugins.
Let me show you how to find any blogpost in your blog, whether it is a draft post or a published page, using this add on you’ll be able to find it.
Featured Plugin: Omnisearch from Jetpack
You can learn more about Jetpack here.
I use the Omnisearch feature so much, I have it saved to my bookmarks.
The most useful case for this plugin is when I start writing a few blogposts simultaneously. Once I get in a roll, I may have a few blogposts in draft mode. Just in this blog, I have over 25 blogposts in draft mode.
I use the Omnisearch feature when I know I wrote about something specifically but I don’t remember which blogpost has that content or even worse, I didn’t even tittle the draft. Believe it or not, it happens all the time.
Another use case is when your blog starts growing and you have a few hundred articles or more. You may want to find a previous blogpost where you talked about a specific topic.
Omnisearch only works for the admin part of your blog so it is not for visitors.
To use it, make sure you have installed Jetpack. Go to your dashboard, click on Jetpack then activate the Ominsearch addon.

Jetpack is on the dashboard in its own menu
Then the Omnisearch feature is hidden under the “other Jetpack features” at the bottom, so scroll to that and click on it.

The Omnisearch is not on the front, you have to dig deeper. You’ll see all the features available in a list format, just look for the Omnisearch entry and activate it.
To activate Omnisearch or any other Jetpack feature, just mouse over it and the “Activate” button shows up on the right (see screenshot).
If for some reason you can’t get the Activate link to appear, you can click on the Omnisearch title and open a new page where you can click an Activate button located on the right hand, bottom corner.
